What a week it's been! I'm very excited for today's share. I love it and hope you do too!
This little house-shaped shelf caught my eye years ago. I've been using it for miniature foods my daughter collects. I got the idea to dress it up for the holidays from miniature groups I follow.
There are 9 rooms, 6 of which are just a tad smaller than an ATC card.
I used the entire Halloween Cuteness set to create the characters and many others from KOM Be Spooky which is not coming up in the Unity database. I didn't know it was retired. I'm sorry.
I'd like for you to see the images in the kit so here is a photo of the cover sheet. I don't know what year it's from.
Room 1, (lower left), I used the Starburst background, Trick or Treat, and the trio of spooky pumpkins.
Room 2, Baby Boy Plaid background, the pillows from The Beginning of Anything, and two critters from Halloween Cuteness.
Room 3, the mini background with zags and dots from Be Spooky, and two friends from Halloween Cuteness. I made the chandelier from a picket fence die, the table, chairs, tablecloth, and treats are all handmade. I used a bottle cap, paper towel, paper clips, a boba straw, and hot glue.
Room 4, Spiderwebs and hanging spiders from Be Spooky, The cute jumping spider and heart web are from Halloween Cutness. *All of the candles were thumbtacks!
Room 5, Candy corn and "candy" from Be Spooky, Lollipops, and Caramel apples are handmade.
Room 6, Batty background from Be Spooky. Mummy and Bat from Halloween Cuteness.
Room 7, Skulls background from Be Spooky, The other bony critters are from Halloween Cuteness.
Room 8, RIP, the reaper and zombie hand from Halloween Cuteness.
Room 9, Felines Galore, All other images are from Halloween Cutness. The window frame is a die from Spellbinders. The wall candles were discards from my printer's toner cartridge! The looking ball and stars are beads.
The banner is from Be Spooky. The pennant banner is a die from SU!
Whew! That's a lot, but I had so much fun making it all! Which room is your favorite?

I hope you all have enjoyed this week as much as I have. Remember to comment and check back early next week to see if you are the lucky winner of Unity credit! Enjoy the spooky day and have a great weekend!
All the best,
Shannon

Happy Thursday firends! My shares for today are quick and simple!
I have loved seeing the thrifted paintings that people are haunting and have wanted to try it. However, I don't have enough confidence with a paintbrush but I sure can stamp, so why not!? I tried it and it worked! After coloring and cutting out the ghost   I added a thin magnet to the back of it and placed it where I wanted it on my painting then I carefully added another, stronger magnet to the back of the painting directly behind the ghost to hold it in place. This little ghost has been a big surprise to visitors. It's been funny seeing them go up the painting to check it out closer. I want to add more little holiday touches like this to all the paintings!

Up next I have another little surprise, a little plant I call Audrey & Rose.
When I was stamping my daughter's birthday card, I noticed that the shape of the simplicity leaf reminded me of Audrey 2 from Little Shop Of Horrors.
I turned on the movie and went to work creating this mini-version. My old pinking shears came in handy for the teeth. I used a couple ginkgo leaves around the heads and added the texture markings with a grunge stamp. Then I added palm leaves, plant leaves, twisted paper, and moss to fill in the base. It was done before the movie was over. Now I have a cute, freaky plant for my desk during Halloween!

I hope you liked today's shares! Don't forget to comment! Someone will get Unity moola!
See you tomorrow!

Happy Wednesday! Today I have a cute little Halloween display to share. Lots of creativity and fussy cutting went into this one.
I started with the Cozy Cottage tucked back in the woods with its big tree and swing, both were watercolored. Of course, we need pumpkins to greet guests. The house has 4 walls and plenty of room for a battery tealight to light up those dark woods. However, there is no way that big of a pumpkin cauldron would fit in the cottage! No wonder Esmerelda is outside brewing up her sweets. Esmerelda and her cat are... what is she doing? Melting down candy corn? Passing out giant candy corn? There's a cute little witch bravely approaching her counterpart and boldly saying Trick or Treat! There doesn't seem to be much room left in her candy bucket, maybe she'll share with the shy friend behind the tree.
The witches, cauldron, and trees all have a stand made by simply folding heavy acetate into an L and attaching it to the back on the bottom.
I sure hope you like this cute little paper-doll style display I put together for today. I can't wait for my little Moon to see it. By the way, the beautiful background is a painting that Little Moon painted for me. It has glow-in-the-dark stars hidden in it.
Let me know what you think! Will you be creating a little display too? Don't forget to comment! I'd love to grant you some Unity credit!

My Cabinet of Curiosities

Hello Tuesday! Welcome back for day two of my GIU week.
Today is my daughter's 19th birthday. Happy Birthday Ellyana! Saturday we will celebrate with a fancy dinner at home. Her birthday card this year wears the colors she requested for her celebration. Sage (her favorite color), Gold and White. I added a touch of black for contrast.
The sets I used are Simplicity and Gingko Greetings. The Happy Birthday die is from Waffle Flower, a gift from my son for my birthday.

Now, onto the fun spooky goodies! I'm not usually as into Halloween as I have been this year. I was really feeling the season and put out our decorations in August! I've been adding a little more here and there, I even decided to haunt an old dollhouse! I had a lot of fun coming up with ideas for this week. Today I'm sharing a couple potion bottles I made to add to my growing collection. If you follow me on social media you might have seen the ones I made last year as well as the ones for Valentine's and St. Patrick's Day!
This year my bottles have a new home. And an old shelf that was destined for the junk pile until I realized its potential. I cleaned it up, rubbed it down with bronze paste, and added some metal trim and lights. It's a big hit with all the kids! Anyway! Onto the bottles, I added. First, October Moon, anytime you want to see the big, gorgeous glowing moons of October, use this potion. I created the band from a border punch. The moon phases and the lid moon are from the retired Look Up and Get Lost SMAK kit. The tag features the word October from the June-December bullet journaling kit. It is foiled with deco foil. The word Moon is from the itty bitty called Sun, Moon, and Stars.  Also on the tag are fibers, wire, a pumpkin eyelet (!), and a bead with stars.

Up next is a fun one for me. My daughter went to Disneyland and all I got was this empty Sprite bottle that she paid $8 for! LOL! She knows her Mama well. I knew I wanted to use it for a powerful potion. The darkest of magic must be locked with a vault-style lid, a hand to remind you of your mortality, and chains for good measure. Whoever opens this must be absolutely, positively ready to encounter the strongest forces there are. This one is the only liquid potion in my cabinet. It was created the same way I make my own shimmer sprays. Alcohol, Gylicerin, and Perfect Pearls or loose eye shadows. I also added black star confetti. The label is from the Happy, Thankful, and Blessed KOM 9/14.

Here they are inside the cabinet.
Let me know if you enjoyed this post by leaving me a comment and I will add your name to my sorting hat for the prize drawing! Have a great day!

Who Wore it Best?

 Happy Monday Unies!
Once again, I am very excited to share some fun projects featuring Unity Stamps.
I hope you like Halloween because I have a lot of spooky fun to share this week. If not, I hope the ideas I share will translate to other areas of your life.
For today, I have two cards for you, a vintage witch and a modern witch. Which one appeals to you more? I like them both for a variety of reasons, but my heart is with the vintage one. I just love how she turned out. So let's start with her.
The woman is from a past SMAK kit called Soul Reflection 8/19 (retired - sorry!), the hat I masked onto her is from Halloween Chatter, and the sentiment is from Esmerelda Girl. I used a star stencil for the background and added a few shiny ones too.
First I stamped and embossed the hat. I then masked it and aligned the lady so that the hat was where I wanted it on her head. She was also embossed. Simple ink blending to color her and the background made this really quick and easy. Once everything was dry and settled I added a white gel pen to her eyes and stamped the sentiment. The frame die is from SU!

Now for Miss Modern Witch, She is the girl from the past KOM called Count Your Blessings 8/20, her hat and sentiment are from the past KOM called Summer Collapsed Into Fall 8/14. She is on a 3.5x6 slim-line card. She was stamped, embossed, colored, and cut out, as was the hat but on black paper. I cut away the brim of the hat so the pointy part would fit onto her existing hat just right. I reused that brim for her blouse decoration. She got a fancy cape and some flashy jewelry too. The sentiment was cut to fit better with the layout. I think the batty patterned paper is from SU! but I can't remember for sure.

Let me know what you think of these two ladies, I need to hear from you so you can be entered to win some Unity credit!
See you tomorrow!
